Miss Rodeo Arizona Pageant

The Miss Rodeo Arizona Pageant is always a memorable trip, but this year it came with some tears of joy, tears of pain, and tears of saddness, as my good friend Casey Rose concluded her year as Miss Rodeo Arizona. Over the past year I have gotten to know Casey and have truely found a great friend and fellow rodeo competitor within her! I have been so blessed to have had her in some of my travels as Miss Rodeo New Mexico, if only we could have had more time to reign together. Thanks Case!!

But to move all the 'sappy' stuff aside, I had a wonderful time at Scottsdale. This was the first year of many that the Miss Rodeo Arizona Pageant will be held in conjunction with the Cave Creek Fiesta Days in Cave Creek, AZ, just north of Phoenix. The move is going to contribute more money and contestants over the next few years! Best of luck to the MRAz Board and Committee with the new location!

If you have been following my blog, you understand that I would rather you enjoy the pictures I have snapped during my adventures, so why should I stop that now? So here ya go......

My home in Scottsdale during the Miss Rodeo Arizona Pageant! They treated us like royalty -they must not know we are rodeo queens?

Doing some 'PR' work! Just gotta love it!

Ol Kit Carson didn't have much to say or maybe he couldn't get a word in edge-wise?

Poor Audrey thought the line to sit on her lap would never end!

No words can describe what has been captured here in this picture!! I love it..........its priceless!!

If you can't tell who this beloved friend is, its Miss Turquoise Circuis, I mean Circuit. This picture really brings to life the saying, "your horns must be holding up your halo, Audrey." Who knew?

If you only knew how many times I had to jump to get this picture with the head-dress! It was something like 13 times, but who's counting? Great picture, if I do say so myself! ;)

WOW, look at these pretty ladies!!!

It must be Arizona High School Rodeo Queen, Natalie and Miss Rodeo Pennsylvania, Chelsea!!

Miss Turquoise Circuit, Audrey Hall and Miss Rodeo Arizona, Casey Rose.
I says..... well hello there?!

Miss Rodeo Arizona, Casey Rose, A.K.A "Brooklynn's Mule"!! Just kidding, but she did enjoy pulling the "Queen 'B' " around for a while at the childrens hopsital of Phoenix. The kids sure enjoyed our team efforts as well and that is what is all for........the kids!!! :)

And then I had to pull her heighness around, because it had something to do with it being "all about her", you know the Miss Rodeo Arizona thing, being in Arizona, and that it was 'her pageant'!

I wonder who is teaching this girl how to make funny faces??
Well I believe she is learning from the best!!

One of the many patients and families that have checked into Phoenix Children's Hospital for their expert care! We wish them the best in their battle and pray for a safe return home!

If only I could 'zap' away all of the illness! Wouldn't that be great! But if you know me and my poor aim, I'd miss the mark! :0

Ta-daa! We have left our mark.......or maybe they left a mark on us!!
They definitely left a mark within us.

Chris Hill and I watching the MRAz Horsemanship competition! What a woman!

The "Gang" before coronation!!

We are such great dancers, Dancing with the Stars called, but we had to tell them no because of other obligations.
Duh, we are rodeo queens!!!

Chelsea, MRPa, and myself after our stunning performance as "bad guys" for the Everyday Super Hero themed fashion show. Casey Rose was "SuperWoman" who caught us, troublemakers, at the end of the show! Who would have thought that I would be a "bad guy"?

As the curtain closed on Casey Jo's year, I found myself admiring a fellow cowgirl and new friend. Thank you so much Casey for the wonderful experience and friendship I gained during your reign as Miss Rodeo Arizona.....Happy Trails Cowgirl!
