Wild Wild West Fest!

The middle of May took me to Pueblo, Colorado, for a few reasons. The Miss Rodeo America Scholarship Foundation co-hosted the Art & Beauty to Boot, where western art and famous boots were displayed for public viewing. The MRA Scholarship Foundation had a silent auction for signed memorabilia from Nolan Ryan! If you or someone you know would like to help the MRASF visit the Miss Rodeo America website at www.missrodeo.com for more information. I also made the trip up I-25 for the Wild Wild West Fest and PBR (Professional Bull Riders). With downtown Pueblo closed to vehicles, you could walk the bottom of your Justin Boots off looking at all the vendors who sold everything from purses to jewelry to chili to home décor. While there in Colorado, Mr. John Cavey and Ms. Pat Thompson took care of us like we were royalty! We were treated to what John said was “real” Italian food; I believe him since I couldn’t quite understand our waitor, but who knows? After we rolled ourselves out of the restaurant, we felt as if we didn’t have to eat another meal while we were in Colorado. John and Pat sure know how to take care of a couple of girls with huge appetites. Thank you to you both and everyone else who made our trip so memorable; trips like these really show me how blessed I am. Thank you to you all!!

Colleen and her mother were the best host family a girl could have! Thank you soo much for opening your hearts and your homes!!

The is the best lookin' group I've ever seen!

(My "Pueblo Mom", myself, Reanna Wadhams MRA Executive Director, DeAnna Power MRA Office Manager, and Charla Wacker MRVirginia)

Charla Wacker MRVirginia and I taking one of the many photo oppportunities that we had!

This little boy is wiser than his years! He already knows a pretty girl when he sees one.Good thinking lil' man.

And here is a man who sees a couple pretty girls and treats them like royalty! John, why are you making that face, you said "whatever you want", maybe he thought we wouldn't take him seriously.........yeah right!!

The Italian dinner! We had more plates on our table than room and man was it deliciouso!

Salute! to John and Pat for being wonderful hosts!!

I know what your thinking, 'girls can you not stay out of trouble for a minute!' My response is, we were in trouble for having too much fun!!!

Hey check out this huge load of......... ....DUCKS!!!!
The Ducky Race had more than 9,000 ducks! Individuals purchased tickets and received a duck with a lucky number, hoping that if their duck crossed the finish line in either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place they could win a Ford Truck, a million dollars, or $5,000 in cash!

Myself, MRVirigina Charla Wacker, and MRColorado Audra Dobbs saying "Goodbye" atop the PBR Headquarters in Pueblo, Co!
